Workflow for emailing image to social sites with tarpipe

While experimenting emailing options with tarpipe I have created this workflow that would distribute an image attachment to Facebook, TwitPic and Flickr at the same time and create announcements on Tumblr, Twitter and Identica.

Workflow for emailing image to social sites with tarpipe

How it works?

  • First we create and email with an image attached. Subject field acting as image title, message body contains our tags.
  • It gets sent to a specific address that tarpipe is given to us at the time of creating this workflow.
  • When sent, tarpipe passes the image to Facebook, TwitPic and Flickr. It creates photo caption for Facebook and title for Flickr and keywords are used as tags for Flickras well.
  • Later on tarpipe connector "TextFormatter" joins picture URL and passes to Tumblr which takes its title from the email subject and passes to URL shortener.
  • Once the URL is shortened it gets announced on Twitter and Identica for everyone to see.

Now it's time to go out and take some pictures!
