How to save ink with Notepad++ while using Port Ruby Blue theme
In ExpressionEngine forums Crssp-ee asked if I knew a quick way to change the print styles for the theme in notepad++?
Here is what you can do,
Default
Below is my default print view in Notepad++
Going to settings/preferences on toolbar in Notepad++ if you click on "Print - Colour and Margin" you will get below settings as default;
No Background Colour
If you change Colour Option to "No Background Colour"
This is what you get on paper.
It's still easy to read while being responsible to the environment.
Black on White
However, you can go one step further
And have absolutely no colour other than black.
Just make sure you have ordered extra black cartridge! or if you're like me, turn everything into PDF - the most environmentally friendly paper :)
Thanks for the quick turn-around time! Chalk one up for Notepad++, I’m probably going to have to go with black on white here, on the documents laser black only printer. Colors just sort of fade, and black on white would be best.
sometimes you just need to print The code to actually study it a while.
I don’t print too much code, but when the need arises this is going to make notepad++ that much more of the developers friend here :)
